Survival VBS

This year for the "youth group" VBS, we decided to go with a "Survival" themed week. One of the big activities was when Daniel attempted to teach 35 teenagers how to make survival bracelets. I wish I had thought to take a picture of him on a chair yelling out instructions to clueless teenagers about burning the ends of the rope and how to add the buckle to the end. It was quite comical.
It was pretty much mass chaos....
but they all managed to make them! :)
Another day we decided to have a fun relay. It was a little hectic, but that night we had 43 kids. Let's just say I was a little under prepared for that many!!!
Of course, the annual pool party was held during VBS, and the kids had a great time.
There were also two other days of fun activities, but I didn't capture those on my camera....I seemed to have had my hands full. I wonder why?

I have been using Picasa and creating picture collages. They load SOOOOO much quicker than individual pictures. It's amazing! And even if I want to just put one picture, I still create a "collage" because it loads so much faster. (See previous post and the one picture with Eli cutting the grass)
